Rental Policies

Rental & Insurance Requirements
  • Renters must be at least 21 years old to rent a UTV.
  • A valid driver’s license copy is required.
  • For multiple drivers, copies of all drivers’ valid licenses are necessary.
  • The primary driver’s full address, including city, state, and zip code, must be provided.
  • Participants must purchase insurance offered by Ride Local UTVs. If a machine is wrecked, totaled, or flipped, $2,500 will be automatically charged to your credit or debit card. Additionally, a $500 per day loss of rental fee will be applied if a machine is deemed unsafe for use by other participants. This fee can accumulate based on the availability of parts needed to repair damage caused by negligence. Damage assessment varies per unit and depends on the severity and condition of the machine. The mentioned figures are based on the Ride Local UTVs’ insurance policy.
  • To verify participants, you must provide your full coverage automobile insurance and bring a copy of your insurance card. We may also contact your insurance company for verification.
  • The primary renter/participant must remain with the UTV at all times. UTVs cannot be left in the care of any additional drivers not included in your rental contract.
  • Our insurance covers only the primary participant and the additional drivers listed in your rental contract. Any additional drivers not signed and validated at the beginning of your rental can potentially void the insurance, leading to full replacement costs if the machine is flipped or damaged during your rental.
  • Receive a full refund if you cancel at least 72 hours before your rental starts.
  • If you cancel within three days of the rental, you will receive a rain check or a gift certificate.
  • No-shows will be charged the full rental price.
  • Cancellations must be made by phone or in person; cancellations via social media are not accepted.
  • All drivers and passengers must wear seatbelts at all times while UTVs are being operated.
  • If a child needs a car seat, it must be supplied, installed, and uninstalled by the renter to ensure safety.
  • Our UTVs are for on-road use only and off-road driving is not permitted.
  • Trailering is strictly prohibited.
  • If UTVs are returned with excessive mud from apparent off-road use, a clean-up fee, determined by our staff, will be applied.
  • Use only unleaded fuel.
  • UTVs are delivered with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank.
  • Prior to returning the UTV, fill it with premium unleaded gas and bring the receipt to the office.
